It's all God's....Everything belongs to Him!
"Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.
“But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. For we are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding. O LORD our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own. I know, my God, that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you. O LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep forever such purposes and thoughts in the hearts of your people, and direct their hearts toward you. Grant to Solomon my son a whole heart that he may keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, performing all, and that he may build the palace for which I have made provision.”
(1 Chronicles 29:11-19 ESV)
Anything
we have on this earth belongs to God...even those things the enemy and
his minions have. It is all by God's grace and His provision so we need
not fret when things seem tight or we seem to lack. It is not that God
does not care in fact, it is to prove to us that we should NOT care as
much about lacking and what we don't have. I believe many times, we can
block our blessings because we focus so much on them and forget about
God.... so the very things we need/want from God, we lack, not because
He doesn't desire to give them to us, but because He'd rather give us a
heart for Him FIRST. That way, all other things will fall together and
when you do receive the blessings - you will not become corrupted and
tainted by them...and you will also know to be a blessing to others
because you know what it is to lack. Even when you think you have the
right motives - if you are more focused on the problem than God -
ANYTIME YOUR FOCUS IS OFF GOD - your motives will be wrong. God always
tests the motives before giving any blessing. He surely delights in
pureness, goodness, integrity, peace...and all of Galatians 5:22-
23....Selah.
